On my mind is a quote from The Catholic Worker in 1942 (long before I was born).
“Love is not the starving of whole populations.
Love is not bombardment of open cities.
Love is not killing.
It is the laying down of one’s life for one’s friends.” Dorothy Day
And yet when I look around, I wonder if these truths have been learned.
Surely, the abundance of conflict in our world could be appeased with action from a foundation of love. 🙏

“ I believe because I want to believe,
I hope because I want to hope,
I love because I want to love.”
Dorothy Day 1897-1980
